Let me get out in front of this thing and say that my definition of self care does not always include purchasing a new handbag. As many of you know- I am a collector. Yes, I collect nice handbags and accessories- as I feel like some of the items I buy are simply timeless and classic.

Now that we have established some foundation, let me introduce to you my newest piece: Saint Laurent-Sunset Crocodile Embossed Leather Crossbody Bag.

I have to admit this isnt the YSL handbag that I had been wanting but I saw this one and it was love at first sight!

Recently, I have been immersed in my work. I am a part of a team that literally built a retail space from the ground up! My hours were non traditonal- I easily spent over 12 hours a day making sure the grand opening was nothing short of a masterpiece..and it was! Things have still been fast paced, but at least weve got some ground work laid and things are running nicely.

So, in the spirit of rewarding yourself and giving yourself a pat on the back for a job well done- I added to my collection. This handbag, is a part of MY self care. Not that you would need for me to tell you how hard I work, and how I’m an amazing mother and wife- those things are who I am and what I do. I reward myself because I see the value in and the fruit of my hard work and dedication. I reward myself because I’m valuable and I’m worthy of nice things.

Remember to reward yourself. It doesnt have to be a new handbag. It could possibly be a nght on the town, a night spent catching up on your favorite Netflis series, a piece of cake, a tube of lipstick…I mean the possibilites are endless. I truly believe you are special in every way.
