I'm a lover of entertaining perfectly…. My own definition of perfect of course!
It all begins the moment we open our door as it means we have opened our hearts to you. Simple hospitality, genuine interaction and loving atmosphere…
Only people who mean the world to us are invited to our home. If you are one of them, you know as soon as you walk in through our doors – for the first time – my customary greeting is a warm welcome, followed by a quick tour of our humble home and as soon as that is out of the way, you most likely will hear “You have 15 min to get acclimated, ask me any questions but know that as soon as your 15 minutes are up you are no longer a guest, this is home so… start opening cupboards!”
Hospitality is a beautiful thing when we open up and share ourselves in our environment. Real and genuine interaction with one another! Feasting with love ones and getting drunk on life is how you connect, how you grow in fun!
Today I want to focus on the FUN part of entertaining my friends! I understand many might say food is the best part of a get together, I beg to differ. For the past 2 years things have changed for me; good food now comes second to a superb cocktail. Very close second but nevertheless second!
Everyone starts differently, with different goals. I like to be as complicated and fancy as I could be, because I know that I cando the same things – if not better – at home as these fancy bars we like to go to. It’s really hard to pace myself, I like to be ready for any drink request not just a particular cocktail that you wouldn’t mind having at home from time to time. I build out a nifty bar with 20 to 25 (and counting) of bottles of liqueurs and all sorts of mixing spirits. And I also have a wine fridge and my ice maker machine. I have all sorts of glassware. I have built out a collection of glassware and cocktail tools over the years
